Paavo Nurmi Marathon

On Saturday 18th of August you can run in the footsteps of running legend Paavo Nurmi at the 27th Paavo Nurmi Marathon in Turku, Finland. The Paavo Nurmi Festival which has taken over the entire city will get a worthy ending when nearly 4,000 participants will run in the hectic city centre. The Paavo Nurmi Marathon offers three distances so that you can choose your favourite distance, or the one most suited to your fitness level. Challenge yourself or others, or just experience the joy of running – it’s up to you! Approximately 2,000 runners take part in the half marathon, which is the most popular distance of the Paavo Nurmi Marathon, and another 2,000 are split evenly between the 10K and the marathon.
