Crete Marathon on a “Green Mission”
Except from its cultural, social, athletic and touristic dimension, Crete Marathon 2018, promoting the event internationally, enhances its social contribution with actions and programs, which endeavor to raise the awareness of the environmental consciousness of the citizens and their participation in actions, concerning the protection and preservation of the biodiversity of Crete.
This program invites all citizens to register in a race of their choice. The enrollment of every runner/participant in the event, creates new life, as a tree will be planted in an area that has suffered environmental damage.
