Treniņu plāns maratonam:
We welcome you, the athlete, to one of the most beautiful marathons that you will ever run in the United States. The Catalina Eco Marathon will start and finish in the town of Avalon, no morning boats to catch, no seas to worry about, just a leisurely stroll to the start line and back into town after 26.2 miles of some of the most beautiful, rugged and breathtaking trails you will experience.
During the course of the marathon, you will traverse single track trails, ridgelines, and vistas that will afford views of the Pacific Ocean – from BOTH sides of the island. You will run through three entirely different eco-systems and see the plant life and animal life in each. Don’t be surprised to see buffalo on the course, seals in the water, and bald eagles overhead.

Tiem, kas jau ir vai 10.-11. novembrī plāno būt Kalifornijā – vērts papētīt arī citus viņa piedāvājumus: Santa Barbara, Malibu… :)
Tā kā Turkish Airways mani “piespieda” apmeklēt 2 ASV pilsētas, tad nedēļu pēc ieplānotā NYC Marathon jau biju nolūkojis 2 “pusītes” – Santa Barbarā un Malibu. Bet, kad uzdūros salas taku skrējienam, kurš tiek pozicionēts, kā “Best Island Run” by Runner’s World Magazine- April 2012, turklāt ar papildu ekstru – free boat trip savā dzimšanas dienā – nu, kā lai atsaka?

Nu, jā + papildus Signis kājos Mt.San Antonio (Baldy) Loop, man padomā Yosemite National Park. Joprojām nesaprotu, kapēc nebraucam kopā! :)))
