About Kyiv
Kyiv is a wonderful city with reach history.
“I’ve seen many parks in the city, but I have never seen a city in the park”, - these are the famous words of famous French general Charles de Gaulle about Kyiv.
Each participant of the Marathon could enjoy the beauty of Kyiv.

About the route
The marathon route passes through the most iconic tourist attractions in Kyiv:
Khreshchatyk, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the Paton Bridge over Dnipro River, St. Michael and Kyiv Sofia Cathedral, the Olympic Stadium and much more.

Medals
This year we present the unique and exclusive medals for 42 km and 21 km races and Relay with depicted outstanding Ukrainians who glorified Kiev at the world level.

Historical reference
Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon is the main Ukrainian running event.
It stands at the beginning of Running Development in the Ukraine since 2010. More than 6600 athletes and amateurs from 50 countries participated in Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2016.
Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon is officially certified by European Athletics Association and got 5 stars rating among the Road races.
42 Km and 21 km Races and Relay are officially certified by International Marathon Association (AIMS ).
